Thanks to advancements in medical treatments, more and more people are surviving these once-fatal illnesses.
Unfortunately, the out-of-pocket expenses associated with critical illnesses often come at a time when a person’s income is already reduced.
Protection When Needed Most
Group critical illness (CI) provides the opportunity to help protect plan members by providing coverage for critical illnesses including stroke, heart attack, and life-threatening cancer.
CI provides a one-time, lump sum payment to plan members who are diagnosed with a covered critical illness and survive the 30-day waiting period. Plan members are free to use the payment however they choose.
Group CI rates are a fraction of individual coverage and are calculated using the unique demographic features of each group. Plan members are not required to provide evidence of good health.
